In 1984, the new University of Ulster in korren and the Ulster Polytechnic (Jordan town) in Jordan merged, together with Magee College (Derry) in Delhi, forming Ulster University.
The University's main campuses are located in Belfast and its surrounding areas in Northern Ireland. The university is planning to build a fifth modern campus. More than 100 years ago, bay city was the base of British Shipbuilding Industry, where the Titanic was built and launched.
