·The Hong Kong Polytechnic University

The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, referred to as "PolyU", is a world-famous public comprehensive research university located in Hong Kong, China. It is one of the world's top 100 universities, including the Beijing Hong Kong University Alliance, the Shanghai Hong Kong University Alliance, the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao University Alliance, the China EU business school alliance, the China Russia Engineering University Alliance, the International Alliance for new engineering education, the Clinton Global Initiative University, and the global energy Internet University Alliance The school of Business Administration of PolyU is a business school with AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA.


The Hong Kong Polytechnic University is one of the oldest universities in Hong Kong. It can be traced back to the Hong Kong government senior Institute of technology, which was established in 1937. It was the first institution in Hong Kong funded by the government to provide engineering education. In 1947, it was renamed the Hong Kong Polytechnic Institute. In 1972, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University Ordinance came into effect and the school was renamed as Hong Kong Polytechnic University. On March 5, 2020, the project of Hong Kong Polytechnic University (Foshan) was listed in the preparatory project plan of Guangdong Province.


The research of Hong Kong Polytechnic University is application-oriented; it has established research centers jointly with Microsoft, Boeing, Alibaba, Huawei and State Grid; has academic and teaching cooperation with Cambridge University, Tsinghua University, Peking University, Zhejiang University and Chinese Academy of Sciences; and has developed moon exploration projects and Mars exploration projects of European Space agency, Russian Federal Space Agency and China Space instruments.


In 2020, the University ranks 75th in the 2021qs world university rankings.
